UPI and everyone else is reporting that CBS has decided to kill a story on the fake documents the Bush Administration used to lie their way into the Iraq war -- because Dan Rather aired fake documents concerning exactly when George W. Bush and his powdery nose went AWOL from the National Guard.

And now the samizdat INternet is dredging up this bit from the memory hole, via TIME Dec. 21, 2003:

Co-Owns New Mexico Ranch with Dan Rather, among others: You would think, especially after Saddam's capture, that Rumsfeld could pack it in, go out on top and settle down in that ranch in Taos, N.M., that he co-owns with, among others, Dan Rather, TIME reports.

  In other news, New York Post says GOP/Trump/Sharpton operative Roger Stone may have forged the documents for Rather's psy-op.
  
  And the long-memoried folks at Cloak & Dagger are quick to point out Rather was at Dealy Plaza in Dallas on 11-22-63 and has been shilling for the Warren commission ever since.
