Libertythink.com's Washington bureau has learned that Sens. John McCain and Joe Lieberman are planning to include National ID provisions in a so-called "9/11 Commission reform" bill due to be introduced early next week after Labor Day.

The bill will include provisions directing the Department of Homeland Security to mandate "minimum standards" for "tamper-proof" state drivers' licenses -- a recipe for de facto national ID cards, complete with biometrics. But in typical Orwellian doublespeak, Lieberman and McCain are expected to deny their bill calls for national ID cards.

In the "rush" to pass a "9/11 Reform" bill before the election, there is every chance a national biometric identification complete with security checkpoints passed, unread, in the middle of the night, just like the USA PATRIOT Act.

Established interest groups on both the "left" and "right" are expected to oppose some of the national ID like provisions.

But now is the time for 9/11 truth advocates to be heard.

Call, fax, and email McCain and Lieberman's offices before the bill is introduced and tell them you know their game. Let them know:
• The public knows the 9/11 Commission is a hideous farce:
  • a Zogby poll released this week shows half of New York City and more than 40% of New York State thinks the federal government had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks.
    
  • The report ignored questions of CIA-connected Saudi and Pakistani ISI funding of the alleged hijackers and the physical evidence surrounding the collapse of WTC1, WTC2, WTC7 in favor of the POLICE STATE "recommendations" McCain & Lieberman are pushing.
• Mandated "minimum standards" for state drivers' licenses IS a NATIONAL ID, no matter what they call it, and
  
• A national biometric ID system is UNACCEPTABLE.

Striking right now -- attacking not only the proposed national ID system, but the integrity of the ridiculous, insulting 9/11 "Warren" Commission itself -- might just catch these beasts off-guard.
