Before the debate, the folks at a Cloak & Dagger claimed that a deal had been made for the second debate allowing both candidates to recieve information through hidden earpieces. That would seem to have been the case, given Bush's radically iomproved performance. Kerry also seemed to have more numbers at his fingertips (i.e., eardrum) than last week. Meanwhile, two Presidential candidates who can make honest, coherent arguments without oeratives whispering them answers were both arrested last night. Libertarian Party candidate Michael Badnarik and Green Party candidate David Cobb were trying to serve papers to the Commission on Presidential Debates, which is acting in concert with the state-and-federally-funded Arizona State University to put on the third debate between Bush and Kerry alone. .....| Posted at 10:20 | PERMA-LINK |
