FORMER CIA director George Tenet and other top officials failed to allocate enough resources to combating terrorism before the September 11 attacks and should be held accountable, an internal investigation has concluded.

CIA Inspector General John Helgerson directed some of his sharpest criticism at Mr Tenet and James Pavitt, the former deputy director of operations, according to a report in today’s New York Times. Both left the agency last year.

The still-classified report says Mr Pavitt and others failed to meet an acceptable standard of performance and it recommends his conduct be assessed by an internal review board for possible disciplinary actions.

The Central Intelligence Agency declined to comment...

But wait...Dubya awarded Tenet a high honor...and Pavitt states the report is flawed. Well, of course its flawed Pavit you stupid truck! It was not an intelligence failure....it was an intelligence success!! Why do you think Dubya gave Tenet that high award? Its no different then a Mafia Chief promoting a soldier level made man to a Lieutenant for carrying out a successful hit job.
