 San Jose Mercury News Feb. 08, 2005: In this book, he shares the cuddly story of personally injecting former Oakland Athletics teammate Mark McGwire with steroids.
Canseco and McGwire were known as the Bash Brothers during their years in Oakland. If Canseco's story is true, they should have been called the Stash Brothers.
Canseco also implicates Ivan Rodriguez, Juan Gonzalez and Rafael Palmeiro as taking steroids when he was their teammate with the Texas Rangers in the early 1990s. And, Canseco writes, President Bush, then a controlling partner of the Rangers, knew exactly what was going on.
