Pittsburgh Post-Gazette May 22, 2005: Federal agents investigating Allegheny County Coroner Dr. Cyril H. Wecht are focusing on a lab technician's after-hours work for Wecht's private business, a county secretary's work for a Wecht-related institute at Duquesne University and the use of deputy coroners to drive Wecht to and from Pittsburgh International Airport, his attorney has confirmed.
In the course of investigating the high-profile forensic pathologist, who gained a national reputation on cases that included the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the still-unsolved slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, FBI agents have carted away boxes of Wecht's private files, a litany of famous and infamous names.
A search warrant return shows agents took possession of Wecht files on the Kennedy assassination, the Menendez brothers' prosecution, and the deaths of Elvis Presley, White House Counsel Vincent Foster and Commerce Secretary Ron Brown.

Among other subpoenas from the government was one demanding Wecht's records connected to the case of Terri Schiavo, the brain-damaged Florida woman whose husband won a court order to have her feeding tube removed. Office sources indicated that Wecht might have been contacted by the family for possible consulting work on that case.[...] .....---
