i am one of america's foremost bush haters, but your suggestion that he gave treasonous orders is a little weird. and the link to the tv
station where the mayor supposedly said bush gave such orders says nothing of the sort. so. do you think we need to LIE to make bush
seem as bad as he is? please offer me something more like proof if you really know bush ordered chopper away from saving lives. if it's just inflammatory propaganda, please, it's bad enough without your shit.
 

I'm a native New Orlenian and I respect your suspicion that FEMA/Fed. Gov. wants this to be bad to run a martial law takeover drill. I wouldn't put it past to have LIHOP or MIHOPed the breech in the levee, but I'll wait for more info before drawing any conclusions.
Authorities love to hold people captive in emergencies and not let them go home for weeks. That's the last thing we need right now.
But I think the main culprit here is Mother Nature.

"Nagin: White House ignores pleas to save New Orleans; helicopters diverted", you have lost some credibility as just trying to make things worse and unnecessary cause problems. Don't do it.

I agree fully with you. I wouldn't be surprised if HAARP made this hurricane. But i was saying the title of this is greatly disinforming and deceptive, and there really wan't a need for it. I'm awaken. i know what's happening in AMerica. MArtial LAw in New Orleans? THey are whitewashing and hiding alot of stuff happenind down there. Sickness and Disease will not be stopped down there, it's going to free up some of the population. I wouldn't be surprised if they let it spread a little northward.

That nuclear attack on AMerican Soil is coming, it's not "if", it's "When". something tells me the upcoming september is going to be terrible, what with the gas, economy, and "terrorist" attacks. More blood is going to have to be spilled to get to the NWO.
 

Of course, the article here states that the choppers were diverted from helping to repair the levee to rescue missions, so your diverting them from saving lives comment makes no sense. I am naturally suspicious of the government, but I do expect at least the appearance of proof when people say things like this. Of course it's a moot point now that martial law has been declared in New Orleans. I heard that the LA state constitution does not permit martial law. Anyone know this to be true?
 

Last night, Ted Koppel said something to the effect that we better learn from what happened in New Orleans because the day would come when someone would attack us directly on our soil, such as planting nukes. Now gee. I believe it was Alex Jones who said the people in power are so arrogant they will hint at what they're going to do before they do it. That's a bit more of a hint.
 

OK, let's keep this in perspective- FEMA diverted helicopters from clogging a dam flooding the city to search for some trapped redneck. PERIOD. Now New Orleans is 80% under water. It's like asking the firemen to search for any stray sparks in a fire while a case of TNT is being lit with a blowtorch. This is way too suspicious.
 

The breech in the levee, last I heard, was at least a couple blocks long and quite possibly 150 feet or more deep. Having lived on the Mississippi River and seen the floods of 93 and 95 up close and personal, I can say with pretty good certainty that breeched levees are very, very hard to repair. Repairs are done after the water has finished going where it wants to, then it's pumped back out. Water goes the path of least resistance and it's just a nightmare to try and stop a waterflow of tens of thousands of gallons a minute. Anything you drop in is just swept away. A barge may have done the trick, maybe, but what would they have done, carried it in and set it down?
 

I will add that it doesn't take much to weaken a levee enough so that it doesn't hold, but I think the situation here is that they were never designed to hold up under such enormous storm surge. It was designed to handle a category 3 hurricane, not one that was nearly a 5. I do also find it suspicious that everything was fine Monday after the hurricane passed over, but then the levee just suddenly broke. They can do that, but I've never heard of one surrounding a city or town of any reasonable size actually breaking, not even in the enormous floods of both 93 and 95. It usually happens to smaller private farm levees or those around small towns.
 

Hey folks. I can't respnd to every single comment here, but thanhks for the interest. To clarify, I was reporting on an interview Nagin gave to WWL which was broadcast on their streaming webcast.

Nagin said that the expected were diverted and that he and other state/local officials were calling the White House and other places to ask WTF was going on. At one point CNN broadcast another interview with Nagin from a TV station in Jackson in which he was even angrier than the interview this report was based on.

Also, don't forget the storm hit land at 4 and by the time it was up by the lake, it was a 3. The levee held until about 10:30 CDT when it blew. SOmeone' finishing the job?

The 17th Street Canal breach was in my own backyard and I live in a middle- upper-middle class neighborhood right near a very wealthy section of town. I had 7 feet of standing water in my home for three weeks and am now picking up the pieces over 500 miles away. I am so disppointed in everyone who chooses to not see the hardworking taxpayers' pain in all this. The flood water did not discriminate on race. We may not make as many headlines, but we lost just as much as the folks in the 9th Ward and St. Bernard. When it comes down to it, we're all homeless.
