Here's the  video, and here's the transcript: DAVID MUIR, ABC NEWS: This is the actual levee that runs along the canal on the eastern side of the city. And when the hurricane hit, the water came through at such force, it was apparently too much. You can see the massive breach here, and when you look around the corner you can see what the water did to the Lower Ninth Ward. This is very serious. But will the mainstream media, beyond this ABC report, pursue this story? Odds are they won't. Here we are on the fourth anniversary of 9/11 and still no serious reporting regarding the anomalies related to that event.

People are so bitter, so disenfranchised in this neighborhood, they actually think the city did it, blowing up the levee to save richer neighborhoods like the French Quarter.

Yeah, it was the Army Corps of Engineers and their "contractors" crawling on the canals, earlier this year, not "the city."
one should think in terms of hydrodynamics when considering the catastropic failure of a reinforced, recently upgraded levee (17th street canal). Water seeks the path of least resistence. How does water traveling parallel to the levee walls apply sufficient hydraulic or perpendicular force to compromise grade 1 concrete, given three important factors:
1. There was no storm surge applied. 2. The Hurricane had passed 3. This is an open air canal. Excess water would simply spill over the sides, not cause a physical breach. #

It looks increasingly as though what the MSM continues to describe as a "bungled response" to the N.O. catastrophe was purposely inept. Total chaos and confusion was FEMA'a intent. FEMA was created to provide "Continuity of Government" in the event of a national emergency that would render the normal machinery of government inoperable. FEMA's future, ( very near future) role will be to provide a dictatorial, tyrannical form of government when when the Constitution and Bill of Rights are abrogated and martial law is imposed upon the people of the United States. FEMA can now point to the overall lack of communication and co-ordination between the various arms of the rescue effort, (while they were at the same time rejecting and sometimes ruthlessly obstructing a whole range of initiatives from other sources, both private and official. Will FEMA now claim that, come the next, and sadly inevitable national emergency, they will require total authority over all aspects of the emergency response, and thus be given carte blanche to put the full reange of "emergency powers" into effect?
With the truth about 9/11 emerging at an ever-increasing rate, it will soon be like a volcanic eruption. It will be unstoppable. The only means then available to this utterly wicked administration to keep the lid on it will then be another emergency, when FEMA will have the power to commandeer all means of communication, along with just about everything else. So what is it going to be? A "terrorist attack on Seattle, using radiological weapons? I wonder if we'll make it to the end of the year without the next, seemingly vitally necessary earth-shaking event hitting us? #

If you've been watching the PBS history of Louisiana series running concurrently with Katrina news, you will know that a decision was made at the height of the flood of 1927 to dynamite the levees in places that would spare New Orleans but destroy St. Bernard Parish, which is exactly what happened.
The only thing different this time is the coverup. #

I saw it on CBS News aslo.
The person said he heard the explosion and the reporters kept telling him it was not blown. He must have been mistaken. Barb #

Hi I'm a bit late I know, but the Mayor's comment that they couldn't have known where to blow the levee, is absolute and complete bullshit. A day or two taking GPS readings, and laser levels. Wait till the water level peaks. You could predict to within 2mm who's feet are conna get wet.

Hi Barb, One of the mainstream media methods, is to pick a poor spokesperson to forward a point of view they don't want to sound convincing.(The guy on the bridge was a classic useless witness.)very poor language, black(unfortunately yes it does matter).He came across as a total stupid hick, houses floating down the street like somebody was drivin em,(conspiracy nut). He was not a good or credable witness, which will be why he was chosen. ianmac.

I don't believe the media lower-downs (reporters on the scene) think analytically that fast. I saw that guy testifying to the explosion on tv also, and if memory serves, he said the ground shook for blocks around. It was definitely an explosion. Personally, I think he did a good job. From the moment I heard him - adding his eyewitness testimony to the insanity being reported constantly of FEMA blocking aid right from the start - well I learned to add 1 and 1 in first grade. This is a no-brainer... and Bush looks just as stupid playing dumb this time as he did in the schoolroom in 2001. I didn't buy it from the first minute I saw him on tv in the classroom - and I didn't buy this from the first report of the flooding. Because it came 12 or more hours after the storm passed, barges don't break up levees, and people heard and felt the explosions. What's important now is to get louder and louder with the truth - because the criminals in the administration are going to keep playing dumb.

I talked to two Black men in the armory who stated independent of each other that the levee was blown. They also stated that this is not the first time. They both mentioned 1965 Hurricane Betsy. I was also told by a white woman that the red cross was feeding the contractors and was turning the community people away in New Orleans. Another woman with her said the body count was a lie. They are taking the bodies out at night and from her home she has seen the trucks with the bodies lined up a mile long.

I'm Retired military and live in terrytown which is on the westbank their was a tv channel that was filming the nine ward when they show somthing only one time a never shown it again. which was the direction of the rebars facing inward toward the 9th ward and as far as the bar a common sense though. If something is in motion moving with current of water it conitinue in motion but if it was never in motion it would go with the flow then you would have to create a flow. They were flashes in which the city Idenifity as chemical explosionit was bad enough to give me flash back and i freak out for several hours to come back down I believe Mr. Edwards because I was in the war and Know the sound of explosion ask my wife it took her to bring me back down
