(Total411.info) -- Last week, some of the mainstream-left blogs have again picked up on the nexus between male-prostitute-cum-Republican-propagandist Jeff Gannon (aka Jim Guckert aka Johnny Gosch) and the Valerie Plame affair. This website still finds it unlikely that Gannon received the classified informaiton in question, and indeed just gleaned it from the Wall Street Journal.

But, longtime Chicago courtwatcher Sherman Skolnick continues to assert that Gannon has been surreptitiously testifying to grand juries in both Washington and Chicago, juries investigating White House crimes under the provenance of Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald.

Skolnick's critics assert that there is no connection between Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald's grand juries in Washington and grand juries in Chicago working with Patrick Fitzgerald in his role as U.S. Attorney for Chicago. However, the charter of Fitzgerald's special prosecutorshipgives him all the broad plenary powers of the Attorney General. So, conceivably, Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald could have detailed US Attorney Fitzgerald to investigate parts of a wide-ranging conspiracy or conspiracies within the Bush administration, an investigation walled off from the rest of the Justice Department.

Time will tell.
