PBS, aka government television, is about to run a documentary on the "science" behind Katrina as part of their Nova series. A skim of the accompanying website reveals it will be the same kind of nonsensical claptrap fed to PBS' pseudo-intellectual viewers as the Nova special on "How the Towers Fell."



PBS' conclusions are already drawn before its "investigation" even begins. The answer is in the title of the program, "The Storm That Drowned a City." The question of whether any of the levees were sabotaged is not broached (not to mentionthe possibility the storm was manipulated by military technology).

The timeline for Nova's "Storm That Drowned A City" asserts Katrina was "a Category 4 storm when it makes landfall." No mention that the city proper got Category 1 and 2 winds -- not to mention the latest data that Katrina was only Category 3 when it made landfall several miles away, as reported in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Following the "scientific" program Nova in most markets, PBS' "investigative" program, Frontline, will air a program asserting that those nice governemnt just folks just plumb screwed up. No genocide to see here; move along, move along.
