Many observers have taken great glee at U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's pending downfall. He's been caught laundering corporate campaign contributions into Texas state legislature races, from which corporate money is banned.

DeLay's background before ascending to power was almost respectable for a Washington politician, an exterminator who rose through the grass roots. He was a leader in the impeachment of President Clinton and calling for investigations of other, real, White House crimes. But he became much more well-behaved in the eyes of the powers-that-be after a crazed assassin bearing all the hallmarks of an intelligence-agency mind-control case stormed his office in the U.S. Capitol building in an attempted assassination.



DeLay has been a great partner of AIPAC, the Zionist lobby in Washington. But if DeLay and the Republicans were to fall, who would accede to leadership?

Nancy Pelosi, the House Minority Leader would take control of the U.S. House if Republicans lose the 2006 Congressional elections mired down in scandal.

It turns out that Pelosi is a great friend of AIPAC also. And she has other sinister affiliations which DeLay does not.

For instance, Pelosi was on the Intelligence Committee for 10 years, longer than anyone in U.S. House history. That means she has signed off on every major cover-up since 1995, starting with the Oklahoma City bombing, running through 9/11 and including Iraqi WMD.

Pelosi also has an affiliation with the Council on Foreign Relations, a spinoff of the English monarchy's Royal Institute of International Affairs.

The lesson? Be careful what you wish for.
