Some of the more ominous stories being floated by policymakers in the United States and Israel suggest that the threat from Iran could be met with an air strike, which would lead to a worldwide nuclear showdown. The increased U.S. carrier presence in the area and other strategic deployments give credibility to such a scenario.

The speaker for our next session suggests an alternative. He is Armen Saginian, who will be giving us the inside story on how the Iranian Mullahs came to power, how they manipulated support from the West, and why a military attack on Iran could enhance and solidify their influence in the Middle East. He will then outline his alternative plan, which includes a new Constitution for Iran – either as a Republic or as a Constitutional Monarchy.

Mr. Saginian has been the author of several books and many articles on Iranian topics, and once presented a $35 billion Iranian development budget, which received tentative support from international investors prior to the political ascendancy of the Mullahs.
